This work is part of my pictorial research within the language of Ornamental Expressionism.

The female figure is not painted like a traditional portrait. It emerges gradually from a field of color and texture built up with a palette knife. The image arises from stains, rhythms, and layers of paint.

The ornamental element does not function as decoration. It is an active structure that surrounds the figure and participates in the construction of its presence.

I work the surface of the canvas almost like a pictorial relief, where light alters the perception of color and form.

For me, this painting speaks of presence, identity, and inner strength.
